PROTECTION/INSTRUCTIONS FOR ULTRASOUND PROBES




  • Ultrasound probe covers will provide a perfect fit for all kind of ultrasound transducers in various disciplines.
  • These are the materials helping to prevent transfer of microorganisms, body fluid and particulate materials to the patient and health care workers during reuse of the transducers.
  • Prevents cross contamination
  • Reduces the need of sterilization after each use
  • Prevents the direct contact between gel and probe head ,hence reduces the risk of probe damage.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE TOE/TEE TRANSDUCER COVER 





  • Inspect the packaging if it has been damaged or if the expiration date has passed.
  • A extended syringe filled with ultrasound transmission gel.
  • A TOE/TEE transducer cover wrapped on an applicator.
  • Remove the cap from the tip of the extended syringe.
  • Insert the extended gel syringe in the transducer cover and slide it over the extension tube to the tip of the cover.
  • Withdraw the syringe while injecting the gel.
  • Make sure not to inject too much gel inside the tip of the cover.
  • Remove the syringe from the applicator and slide the TOE/TEE transducer carefully into the gelled cover.
  • To avoid air in the tip of the cover,keep the tip of the cover closed between thumb and forefinger until the transducer tip reaches the tip of the cover.Then slide the tip of the probe carefully over the transducer tip.
  • Press the applicator firmly up-to the control unit.The cover is new fitted tightly around the transducer tip enabling best quality visuals.
  • Inspect the tip once again to avoid any wrinkles and or air bubbles.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE GENERAL PURPOSE TRANSDUCER COVERS





  • Inspect the packaging if it has been damaged or if the expiration date has passed.
  • Apply a generous amount of ultrasound transmission gel inside the cover,and roll the cover over the entire transducer.
  • Inspect the transducer and make sure the tip is free of wrinkles and or air bubbles.
