ULTRASOUND TRANSDUCER TYPES WITH APPLICATIONS & FEATURES

  • Ultrasound transducers are assembled in an array.
  • The array is created by slicing a large piezoelectric crystal into many smaller active elements.
  • Each element is unique.
  • This prevents any acoustic or electric interference from distorting the signal sent and received by that particular element.

TYPES OF ARRAYS

  1. Linear array
  2. Phased array
  3. Curved array

FEATURES
  • wide footprint and keep same field of view at deep part.

APPLICATIONS

  • Vascular application
                            •Arteria carotis
                            •IMT,FMD measurement
                              for early detection of
                              arterial sclerosis
  • venipuncture,blood vessel visualization
  • Breast,Thyroid
  • Tendon,arthrogenous
  • Intraoperative,laparoscopy
  • The thickness measurement of Body fat and Musculus for daily healthcare check and locomotive syndrome check
  • Photoacoustic imaging, ultrasonic velocity change imaging
  • Crack detection of metal and concrete.
