ULTRASOUND TRANSDUCER TYPES WITH APPLICATIONS & FEATURES
- Ultrasound transducers are assembled in an array.
- The array is created by slicing a large piezoelectric crystal into many smaller active elements.
- Each element is unique.
- This prevents any acoustic or electric interference from distorting the signal sent and received by that particular element.
TYPES OF ARRAYS
- Linear array
- Phased array
- Curved array
2D
LINEAR TYPE
LINEAR ARRAY |
- wide footprint and keep same field of view at deep part.
APPLICATIONS
- Vascular application
•IMT,FMD measurement
for early detection of
arterial sclerosis
- venipuncture,blood vessel visualization
- Breast,Thyroid
- Tendon,arthrogenous
- Intraoperative,laparoscopy
- The thickness measurement of Body fat and Musculus for daily healthcare check and locomotive syndrome check
- Photoacoustic imaging, ultrasonic velocity change imaging
- Crack detection of metal and concrete.
CURVED TYPE
CURVED TYPE |
FEATURES
- wide footprint, field of view will be spreaded at deep part.
APPLICATIONS
- Abdominal application.
- Transvaginal and Transrectal application.
- Diagnoses organs.
PHASED TYPE
PHASED TYPE |
